Idea:

With regard to the legislation of any countries, it would be beneficial if the Lotus Notes support Internet certificates SHA-2.

Without support Internet certificates SHA-2 is not possible to meet the legislative requirements for electronic signature in any countries.

When used searching Search All mail via Search Toolbar is not using searching in the archives of mail.

It would be beneficial if Search All mail via Search Toolbar sought out in the mail archive of the mail box.

Comment: I promoted this, but I think you'll find that this is a feature restricted to third party archiving softwares.

I have had this conversation with several IT Managers in the past...

"For mail archiving. you could take the free option, provided natively by Domino, but your users will need to search their archives separately from their live mailboxes. They have to search twice."

"Hmmm... Management won't like that - will a third party utility do it?"

"Yes - most of them will. ReduceMail Pro or IONET Archiver for Notes do the job perfectly. If you want to spend more, we could look at Tivoli..."

"Ok - look into it..."

Comment: There are third party tools which already allow for this. They leave a stub and can allow you to search across multi-databases (mail <-> archive). Haven't checked for this use case, but Notes DBs can be enabled for multi-DB searches. Something that was more popular in the V3 days, but still exists. Might help.

Comment: It is still possible use "View\Search this view" for searching in mail archives. If Search Toolbar in 8.5.x doesn't search in mail archives only, it is a bug or a feature?

Extending of following items:

not add names from my Domino Domain (Domino Directory) from emails I send & receive
not add names from my Domino Domain (Domino Directory) and address books in the Directory Assistance from emails I send & receive
not add names in fields CC and BCC from emails I send
not add names in fields CC and BCC from receive emails
not add names from I send email and recepient have setting forwarding address in person document in Domino Directory

This values setting as check box and not as radio button. Allow to set these values via desktop policies.

Comment: @ Stephen Bailay: Yes it was meant for native archiving via the Lotus Domino server to Domino archiving server or local. The archive database is not possible to add to the list of Search toolbar using the "Always Show List in Search ..."

@ Vit Zachodil: Use the "View \ Search this view" is not intuitive if the menu in "Search Toolbar" include item "All Mail". As I discovered, users intuitively use the Search Toolbar.

BlackBerry PlayBook from version of OS 2.0 has native PIM applications but is no a way to synchronize E-mail, Calendar, To Do and Contacts with user mailbox on Lotus Domino server. Lotus Traveler for BlackBerry PlayBook would solve the problem.

Domino Administrator / Other: Possibility to be logged at the same time another ID in Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Administrator.

Idea:

For work as an administrator and user I would be welcome the opportunity to run the Lotus Notes client with logging in through the normal user ID and same time on the same PC running Lotus Domino Administrator client with be logged via administrator ID.

Comment: Not only admin but also designer would be nice.
You already can setup starting two or more clients for admin tasks with two or more data directories.
Start the client as nlnotes =c:\notes\notes1.ini
And the other as nlnotes =c:\notes\notes2.ini
In the notes1.ini you point one data directory and in the other to the other datadirectory.

Of course this is not supported by IBM.
You also get funny behaviour like opening bookmarks anywhere opens in the last started Notes client. But for admin tasks this is quite useful.

Alas this does not work (anymore) with the designer client since it is eclypse and using another data directory.
If this is possible to start two (or more) eclypse parts that would be nice!
