for the Notes client I sometimes think it is strange that you can present a view within a frame, but as soon as you open a document it breaks out of the frame and is presented in new tab window.
if you compare it to the web at least you have to option to specify if the link must be presented in or outside the current frame.
therefor add an option on the form properties that says 'opened documents should presented within the current frame' or something

@Nathan: ... and you'll encounter several problems concerning the focus. An easier solution would indeed be welcome.
