Wouldn't it be nice, if the birthday maintained in the personal address book would appear in the Notes Calendar?
Moreover, creating a birthday (anniversary) has always a strange touch, when I need to decide "how long this person may live". Other Calendar programs do create birthday "forever".
In 8.5.1 we finally have Synchronize Contacts on the replicator page, therefore it would be logical that Synchronize Notebook / Journal be place there also thus avoiding the need for user to manually click menu Action - Lotus iNotes - Synchronize Notebook every time they wanted to synchronize.
As of Notes 9.0.1 the Notebook (journal) still doesn't synchronize automatically into the mail file the way contacts do. The way to synchronize the Notebook is to open the mail file, then pull down Actions - IBM iNotes - Synchronize Notebook. EVERY TIME YOU WANT THEM SYNCHRONIZED. This should be just another setting in preferences ...
I read some ideas about syncing contacts between differnt sources (PNAB, recent contacts, ...). This made me sharing mine:
I'd like to sync entries in the PNAB with the ones in the domino directory. the contacts may be marked when copied into pnab (there is an action for this)....
Why can't I get a connector to sync my Notes address book with Plaxo?
