Notes Client / images

I wish Notes 8 email image blocking allowed 'trusted' domains or users

: Notes Client / Mail
: email, images, block
Craig Wiseman21821 - 26 2007 / (1)
The Notes 8 delayed image loading for HTML mail is nice, but it'd be REALLY nice if you could set (and have it remember) trusted senders or domains that would load automatically.
Certain other email products have this functionality....

Remember "show images" for email addresses

: Notes Client / Other
: email, htmlemail, images
Scott Cochrane1949 - 13 2008 / (6)
I like the fact that the notes client doesn't immediately show images on an html email.  Especially as I might be looking at a bit of junk etc.
But I don't want to have to right-click "Show Images" everytime I receive an email from a trusted source ...

Ability to save embedded inline images as a file to disk

: Notes Client / Core/Frameworks (Incl. sidebar, rich text editor)
: images
David Hablewitz15242 - 21 2011 / (0)
Add a menu option to the context menu so when you right click on an image there is an option to save the image as a file to the disk drive.  Currently your only option is to copy the image and paste it into graphics software like Paint, then save ...

Allow images to be resizable by clicking and dragging the border

: Notes Client / Core/Frameworks (Incl. sidebar, rich text editor)
: images
David Hablewitz15242 - 03 2010 / (0)
Images should be resizable by clicking and dragging the border, similar to the behavior of various windows resizing functions.

Provide the capability to use authenticated proxies in the Location Document

: Notes Client / Mail
: images, location, notes, ntlm, proxy
Gregg Eldred5345 - 16 2011 / (0)
Within the Location Document, provide the capability to use authenicated proxies. Specifically, those proxies that use NTLM. WIthout this, organizations that use Lotus Notes/Domino and expect HTML mail, will always see a "red x" when viewing HTML mail that refers to an image somewhere on the internet. There is a TechNote that explains ...

Paste images as "Device Independent Bitmap" by default

Slawek Rogulski8874 - 30 2007 / (3)
Ben Langhinrichs pointed out that there is some notes.ini magic to solve this.
The magic line:
Explanation on Andre Guirard's blog www-10.lotus.com/ldd/bpmpblog.nsf/dx/purpose (Andre's very first post)
Original idea:
When I paste images into a rich text field, by default, they are pasted as bitmaps. I can ...

Provide setting to make an image scale to fit the window

: Notes Client / Core/Frameworks (Incl. sidebar, rich text editor)
: images
David Hablewitz15242 - 03 2010 / (0)
Images should have a property to scale to fit the window similar to that in browsers.

Replace in-line image with remaining image properties

: Notes Client / Other
: images, replacement, properties
Patrick Kwinten22018 - 31 2010 / (0)
When you want to replace an inline image (imported image) you basically have to delete the current image and replace it by importing a brnad new image.
This causes you to loose all the properties set.
In case you could from the image properties - first tab - ...

Block html graphics in email

: Notes Client / Other
: preferences, html, security, images
Rich Casesa112 - 25 2007 / (1)
This is a pretty simple idea.  There should be an security/mail preference to block images on html emails similar to what Yahoo and Gmail offer.  Yahoo allows the user to block images by default and then show the images when a user clicks on the link in an open email.  ...

If you show images in the preview pane it should show images when the message is opened too.

: Notes Client / Mail

David Hablewitz15242 - 17 2010 / (2)
When you get an HTML message that requires clicking on Show Images, if you click on it while it is displayed in the preview pane, you must still click on it again if you open the message.  This extra click is redundant.  I think that once the images have been ...
