Integrate Lotus Workflow applications in AdminP user rename requests

: Lotus Workflow
: adminp, workflow
Thorsten Seidel660 - 22 2011 / (7)
Since not all workflow relevant fields are name / author / reader fields, the AdminP process cannot handle all required fields in the case of a user rename request.
Some of the fields are unchanged, leaving a workflow binder to an unpredictable state, with a high possibility of errors occurring.

Develop Workflow to work in an XPage environment

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, xpages
Jerry Shelley300 - 20 2009 / (5)
I suggest the next release of Workflow should have a Server Side JavaScript (SSJS) library to complement the existing Client Side JS (CSJS) and LotusScript libraries, allowing Workflow to be brought up-to-date and used in the latest and greatest version of Notes/Domino.

Sametime integration in notification

: Lotus Workflow
: mail, notification, sametime
Thorsten Seidel660 - 24 2009 / (1)
There are various places to notify people in Lotus Workflow via Mail, e.g. about new activities or via automated activity.

In some cases a notification via Sametime would be a) sufficient and b) a lot faster than mail.

My suggestion is to add a radio button to allow ...

Periodic evaluation of potential activityowners (claimed activity)

: Lotus Workflow
: activityowner, workflow, evaluate, periodic, out-of-office, ooo, ooop
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 24 2009 / (0)
Lotus Workflow features a great out-of-office handling. It evaluates the potential activityowners to the surrogates if none of the configured activityowners is in the office. But some cases are not handled well:

Scenario: Claimed activitiy - Leaving unexpected
  • A workflow is routed to a group of persons.
  • John ...

Lotus Workflow features a great out-of-office handling. It evaluates the potential activityowners to the surrogates if none of the configured activityowners is in the office. But some cases are not handled well:

Scenario: Unclaimed activitiy - Leaving tomorrow

Make Lotus Workflow compatible to clusters

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, cluster, compatibility, backgrounder, viewer
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 24 2009 / (0)
Running Lotus Workflow in enterprise scale scenarios is quite hard. Using Lotus Workflow in a cluster-environment is not as easy, as it could. The most anoying fact is the backgrounder, which cannot be tied to just one machine to prevent it is running on different servers at the same time. ...

Launch Architect

: Lotus Workflow
: architect, process version
jacqueline altrogge79 - 18 2009 / (1)
I want to start each process version, the architect should be launched from the process database.

Lotus Workflow Viewer as Sidebar-Plugin

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, viewer, sidebar, plugin, notes client
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 02 2009 / (0)
Implementing the Lotus Workflow Viewer as a Sidebar-Plugin can really leverage the userexperience when using Lotus Workflow enabled applications in the Notes Client. The Plugin should react to opening a document which uses Lotus Workflow and display the current state of the particular job. Animation of the routing path would ...

Integrate Workflow Architect into Domino Designer

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, architect, integration, domino designer, designer
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 02 2009 / (0)
The Lotus Workflow Architect should be integrated into the Domino Designer. This will help to give the user an impression of an well integrated product and could lower the learning curve. As the Lotus Workflow Viewer is essentialy a striped down architect, the viewer could be well integrated into the ...

BPMN-Editor for Lotus Workflow Architect

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, bpmn, bpm
Christoph Luecke137 - 01 2009 / (2)
With the Lotus Workflow Architect you can model workflows graphically. The notation delivers sufficient means to build various complex flow types. Nowadays standardized, powerful notations are discussed that meet business perspectives as well as developer ways to model flow structures. The Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) Notation allows advanced, standardized ...

enhanced Organization Directory

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, organization, organisation
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 31 2009 / (0)
The organization directory is pretty important to Lotus Workflow. When using a single organization directory within multiple instances of workflow application, things get somewhat confusing. It's hard to determine, which entries should be used with which application.
  • It should be possible to arrange Job-Properties, Relations etc. in custom categories.
  • ...

Enhanced email generation

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, email
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 31 2009 / (0)
Workflows usually genereate some emails. This function is pretty plain within Lotus Workflow. There are some real important features missing, like the "CC"-Option (I didn't count the times I've benn asked about...). So what could be done better?
  • Full access to all common email fields (to, cc, bcc, subject, ...

Link Out-of-office-profile to Mail-file

: Lotus Workflow
: ooop, out-of-office, mailfile, workflow
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 31 2009 / (0)
The OOOP of Lotus Workflow should be linked to the out of office-functionality in the mail application. Benefit for the user is, he only has to set his ooo-state in a single place.

Enhanced Out-of-office handling

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, ooop, out-of-office
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 31 2009 / (0)
It should be possible to mark Activities for periodical (re-)evaluation of the participants to allow substitutes to work on a specific job. If a workflow is routed to somebody, an this person leaves office next day, the administrator has to react. Implementing the idea will recalculate the participants.

Drive workflow by timed events

: Lotus Workflow
: workflow, event, time
Dirk Stelloh2244 - 31 2009 / (0)
Timed activities are manual activities which let the designer specify a deadline (based on routing-time, claiming-time or any given deadline). When this deadline is reached the activity should be claimed (if not already) and completed. It should be possible to check in a decisionpoint whether an activity was completed manually ...
