I'd like to have a drop down list which enables me to choose the signature I want added to the email. (or blog/forum post) Today I get around this by using my Paste Information application, but I'd rather have this integrated.
It would be nice to not need 5 or more location documents for all my emails.
While I can have one inbox, I can not have multiple outgoing email names/addresses from that one box, thus 5 different location docs/dbs, etc.
I can make personal stationery, but not personal email addresses?
Another simple one.
By default, when you open an un-customised Notes 8.5 mailbox, the "Views" section doesn't contain any views. Simply put, it should!
Some examples might be:
I like the fact that the notes client doesn't immediately show images on an html email. Especially as I might be looking at a bit of junk etc.
But I don't want to have to right-click "Show Images" everytime I receive an email from a trusted source ...
I have been thinking and talking with colleagues and one useful tool/add on would to be able to draft an email (save it) and schedule Notes to send it delayed at a specific time.
The benefits include: being able to send personalised reminders to individuals; send ...
This would be similar to permanent pen, but you would not have have to turn it on/off.
Mac Mail.app makes this very simple. (as does Outlook I beleive)
Enable easy creation of a rule to tune out of an email thread.
If the thread is of no interest (and I keep getting messages because someone chose to stick me in the cc list) I rightclick, choose 'Tune out'. This creates a rule based on the message ...
I recently experienced irate users who were unaware that their mails had not been sent due to some ISP issues.
The users were workign remotely and replicated to send mail.
They were upset because Notes never tells the user in an obvious way that their mail has NOT been ...
It should be possible to drag an email og generic document and drop it in the Day-At-A-Glance sidebar plugin.
Even better; If the Day-At-A-Glance plugin had the possibility for showing time-slots, the document could be dragged directory to the time of day you wanted.
Especially in the SMB market, where people are working for/under different organisations, but using only one mailfile/Notes-Identity it would be nice to have a way to select from different sending addresses, when sending to the internet, like some other mail clients do (drop down list or so).
I'm sure You have the same problem if You have a large complex folder structure. You got a new mail, but the mail rule moves it into a folder somewhere deeeeeeep....then it's hard to find. Of course You can use "copy to folder" but then your inbox ...
I have heard from several people and my own albeit limited experience backs this up: "outlook just seems to receive the email - none of this sending and receiving". This is in connection with situations where the user is running a local replica of their mail file.
What I ...
Did IBM do this just so you can annoy people with the ">' everywhere and to make it worse they give you and option in the preferences to change the charater. It's all pointless. RELPY and REPLY with HISTORY is fine.
The behavior is, once you do a spell check, save the email as draft and go back to that email later you should not have to re-check the words you already have signed off on.
I'm sure most of you are familar with the simple @Command([MailForward]) function. @Command([MailForward]) forwards the current document by placing its entire contents into a mail memo which the user then addresses and sends. I was tasked with duplicating this functionality, but for a subform on the current document. Futhermore, the ...
I'd like to be able to click r to reply, a to reply to all, etc... like Gmail.
I want to be able to right click on an attachment in an email message, select Copy, and then paste the attachment into a new message. Even in 8.5 I often get other pieces of the original email together with the attachment. The only way to reliably do it is ...
Notes hierarcial addressing is very confusing to users and must be replaced with standard email format.
IBM already have problems with Lotus traveler as the iPhone mail app only support email format, and they wiill run into even more problem in the future as they have promised to support ...
I like the auto word completion feature in Symphony documents. It makes typing easy when we have to type certain words again and again.
It would be nice to have same feature for mail body editing.
Based on some recent experience the Notes client does a very poor job of rendering HTML mail. As far as I can tell the problem relates to the clients interpretation of inline css.
Assuming that an email contains compliant CSS 1.0 instructions and XHTML I'd expect it to render well and currently it ...
