It would be great if Field Tab on documents properties dialog box (second tab) list all the fields grouped by field type (from document context it would Items grouped by Item type) . e.g. all Readers type fields should appear under Readers group similarly with Authors, Text , number type fields.
This option can be implemented either in Notes Client or in Domino Designer in order to easily identify all fields of interested types in a given context.
This feature makes more sense if implemented in Documents Properties box because a document can be edited by different forms resulting in number of items not available in a single form. This will really help locating item values when there are hundreds of items on a documents.

Yes, in addition make the fields sorted (preferrably sortable), and make property box resizeable so we can see more than a few fields. This is actually killing *much* of the need for my own List Fields ({ Link } but I would much more see such functionallity in the core product.

Sounds good but I sometimes want to see all fields alphabetically listed so it would be best if this behavior could be toggled.

The NotesMan product from MartinScott has this in their "edit" tool. You can sort by name, type, or values. It along with many other things make that tool quite useful.

By having the filedname, type, value, etc in a table then you could click on the column header and sort how you want. There are times I would love to sort on value so I can see what field is being updated.

Ytria's scanEZ or MartinScott's Noteman both have a free lite version that will allow exactly what Bruce @4 describes.
