Other programming communities also have their LotusSphere equivalent conferences, where the experts share their knowledge with the community.
Some of them make available (free) screencasts of the presentations. Screencasts from LotusSphere help increase the general competence level in the community, which again increases the quality of applications made in Notes/Domino, which makes it easier for IBM to sell the platform. It doesn't have to be more advanced than someone in the audience with a camera. |

Particularly the keynotes and mini-keynotes. I would follow the example of the TED Talks ({ Link } in this regard - make them available via streaming and iTunes/RSS Feeds.
The main inhibitors will be that Lotusphere is a paid event, and many of the speakers are 3rd parties so their content is their IP. However, there must be a way round this in order to get the valuable content out to the wider community...

Stuart - All Lotusphere speakers must sign an agreement that their session can be recorded and used as IBM sees fit. Some speakers modify other parts of the agreement regarding the session contents, but the IP rights of speakers are not the blocking point. Actually, every session used to be taped and you could buy all the videos, but the past few years they have only taped a very small subset of the sessions, so the first part of the wish would be that they tape the sessions at all.
